These are intentionally short 20-minute photography sessions.
That makes them perfect for families who want beautiful updated photographs without committing to a full-length family photoshoot.
Within your session, I'll guide you through a variety of poses and prompts designed to create a diverse gallery in a short amount of time.
We'll move between seated, standing and walking photographs depending on your family, the setting and the light.
Because these sessions are scheduled closely together, arriving on time is extremely important.
Your 20-minute session begins at your scheduled time and cannot be extended if you arrive late. If you're not ready to begin at your scheduled time, you may lose some or all of your allocated session.
I recommend arriving early enough to allow for parking, walking to the location, getting little ones settled and making any final wardrobe adjustments.
What If My Children Don't Cooperate?
This is one of the biggest questions parents ask before family photography sessions.
The answer is simple: don't worry.
Children don't have to sit perfectly still or smile on command for beautiful photographs to happen.
I'll guide you through the session and encourage natural interaction, movement and connection.
However, because these are 20-minute mini sessions, there isn't time to completely restart the session or extend your appointment if a child isn't cooperating.
The purpose isn't to create perfectly posed children.
It's to capture your children as they are right now — their expressions, personalities, cuddles, laughter and little quirks.
What Happens If It Rains?
Because these are outdoor autumn sessions, weather is always a consideration.
If the weather is unsuitable for photography, a rainy-day reschedule will be available.
The Photographer will make the final decision regarding whether conditions are appropriate for the session.
If your session needs to be moved due to rain or unsuitable weather, you'll be offered an alternative reschedule date subject to availability.
Autumn weather can be unpredictable, but overcast skies can actually create beautiful, soft and flattering light. Not every grey day means a session needs to be cancelled.
